Creating a film, an advert, online content… whatever it may be… is always a collaborative process from day dot to delivery.
When you’re working with a great team, everyone is invested in what ‘you’re’ doing (collectively)… it matters.
So… when the edit has been put together, it’s vital that everyone in the team has a view on it. It’s how a piece of content goes from pretty good to amazing and gives an accurate gauge of how a real life audience might react to it.
In the past I’ve been reluctant to make edits based on Producer’s or Camera op’s opinion for example. But now (maybe this is part of growing up), I relish the opportunity to have an edit critiqued.
You chew the fat and then you trim the fat…
and I think it’s this collaboration that really resonates with a client and what they eventually see on screen.
Taking the client on this journey is also pretty fruitful. It gives them a glance into the process and a glimpse into the lengths we go to, providing them with a product they can be truly proud of.
I’d say (if you don’t already) come over and have a chat with us or give us a call…
…we may live in a dark room for 300 days of the year, but we don’t bite.
